If you clicked on this article then you're either a fan of Wavyu or are about to be. Wavyu is a small artist with huge amounts of potential, it just has to be seen. Knowing this, he's recently been taking steps to start putting himself in the spotlight and get his craft taken seriously. His music video for his track "feelgood" is just one of those many steps that he's taking on his path to success. After reading and watching you'll see exactly what I mean.
First lets talk a little bit about the track before we head into the visuals. Overall the track contains a turnt up a vibe, type of music you'd play to get a party started. His flow and beat fuse beautifully along with catchy verses that'll leaving you humming after listening. IIt’sa fun track and just like the title states, it'll make you feel good. It's perfect for rolling up some za and getting ready for a lit ass night. I feel like this track also shows that you don't need to rap about guns and violence to create a turnt up vibe, that's kind of the premise behind the track. No need for negative topics to get someone amped up, one of my favorite bars in the track is "feel good music over here better catch on" and I feel like it will. Currently artists have been giving off more of a druggie and violent aesthetic to grow or promote their music while Wavyu is sticking to his own thing and focusing on positive exciting vibes. Its's one of his best tracks yet so it makes sense as to why he'd want to provide proper visuals for it.
Now when it comes to the visuals, Wavy made sure to come proper. Teaming up with Cole Matthews, who directed and edited the video, they created something simple yet engaging. The location they shot at was clearly unique, an empty outside space with nothing but white ground and red filled puddles, almost as if he's on another planet. The video consists of Wavyu with his friends enjoying the music and just having fun, just like how he expects the audience to enjoy it. Having a good time. All what that feel god music is about and it's shown perfectly. The edits are simple but really puts the emphasis on wavy and his energy. Overall the video is not complex but the aesthetic and vibe of the track pull everything together into something that you'll enjoy if you're looking to "feel good".
